TWR Women of Hope, a ministry of TWR (Trans World Radio), seeks to bring hope and healing in Jesus to women around the world and across generations.

Mission Statement

To educate, encourage and equip women to learn, pray, listen, grow and give through media and small group interaction.

  1. Learn.
  2. Pray.
  3. Listen.
  4. Grow.
  5. Give.

As women gain solid biblical teaching and experiential training, they encourage their families, local churches, communities and other women. Whatever situation, TWR Women of Hope speaks the truth that Jesus is the only one who can provide perfect peace, hope and healing.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." - Ezekiel 36:26

Women in many parts of the world are marginalized, experiencing high levels of poverty, lack of education, oppression and health crises. While social reforms promise empowerment of women and the end of negative family cycles, only a spiritual solution found in Jesus Christ has the power to provide sustainable change and lasting hope.

God does not see women as helpless or weak. Instead, God has a beautiful story for each woman as a unique expression of his grace and love. No matter how daunting the challenges appear for women around the world, God has not forgotten any of them and has a good plan for each.

This is why TWR Women of Hope is striving to build and equip women to fulfill God’s purposes for them. We follow the best example imaginable – Jesus. Defying the standards of his day, Jesus treated women with dignity and compassion and invited them into his ministry. He commissioned his followers to take the gospel to the ends of the earth, making disciples of all nations. And, we believe that women are an instrumental part of Jesus’ plan.

Our Story

TWR Women of Hope was originally founded in 1997 with the name Project Hannah. Under the direction of Marli Spieker, Project Hannah built a powerful connection among women uniting them in the power of prayer and through the radio program Women of Hope. Through practical wisdom and spiritual discipleship, the Women of Hope program has saved, matured and inspired many listeners around the world.

In 2016, Marli passed the leadership of the ministry to Dr. Peggy Banks. With fresh vision, Project Hannah was rebranded into TWR Women of Hope - honoring both the heart of Trans World Radio and the life-changing radio program that the ministry was built upon. During Banks' tenure, an emphasis was placed on developing leaders around the world and especially equipping the next generation.

Today, Susie Pek holds the position of Global Director and continues to build upon the foundations of prayer and media. TWR Women of Hope has prayer intercessors in 125 countries and the Women of Hope program is available in 70+ languages. Because of the faithful prayers and support of countless women, TWR Women of Hope is continuing to grow and reach a new generation of women ready to embrace and share the transformative power of Jesus.
