Dear Friends,

While recent years have brought greater awareness of the issue of human trafficking, there are still many unaware that this modern-day slavery is not simply an injustice that happens in other countries but one that also occurs right in our own backyard.

Slavery has been with us since the beginning of human history. After traveling to Thailand in 2005 and seeing firsthand the atrocities that are happening to young girls sold into the sex trade, I felt God press this question on my heart: “What will you do with what I have shown you?”

“Give justice to the weak and the fatherless;
maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
-Psalm 82:3-4

Today, many years later, my heart still hears the cries of the victims who are suffering at the hands of the buyers and sellers of women and children for sex. TWR Women of Hope has a passion to bring hope and healing in the name of Jesus to those who suffer as victims of sexual exploitation.

For almost 10 years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to work in the ministry of spiritual restoration for victims and survivors of sexual exploitation. Since I became the global ministry director of TWR Women of Hope, I have been blessed to know that you are offering up your voices for the many men, women, and children who are trapped in sexual exploitation and have no voices.

“He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.”
-Psalm 33:5

It is so important to keep believing that God is a God of justice and hears the cries of the righteous. Even though this month’s topic and requests can be difficult to read and pray, please persevere and have hope that God is listening and will answer as we pray and keep faith.

Thank you again for your dedication and love for our women around the world and across generations.

In Him our hearts rejoice,
