Dear friends…where shall we begin?

I am so grateful for God’s grace these days. The TWR Women of Hope teams around the world are experiencing much change, and I am so grateful for the courage, honest feedback, and willingness to move forward with a new name, fresh style, and refined expectation of growth. Thank you for your prayers! Here are some recent updates:

70 people attended our first Dessert & Discover on May 31st, and 34 also attended Cary, NC lunch prayer gathering the next day. From age 13 to 84, men and women gathered to learn and pray about human trafficking. We were able to showcase not only TWR Women of Hope but also two other ministries, Fashion & Compassion and Transforming Hope Ministries. Fashion & Compassion, based in Charlotte, NC, equips people who come out of poverty, trafficking, abuse and other misfortune with practical skills and dignity to produce beautiful handcrafted goods. Transforming Hope Ministries combats human trafficking in Durham, NC and the surrounding community.

Also, we just completed an agreement with KCBI, the top Christian FM radio station in Dallas, TX, to be the executive title sponsor for Heartstrong Faith Women’s Conference from February 23-24, 2018. This is a strategic opportunity to let women know about TWR Women of Hope and how we are making a significant impact in the world for Jesus. Tickets for 2018 are not available yet, but when registration opens you are more than welcome to join us!

From May 16-20, Ann Chastain coordinated 10 Speaking Hope to Women events in four days in the Atlanta area. Our goal for this year is 40 events. We have 29 events executed or are queued for this year. Most ladies who gathered in homes and churches were new to the ministry. Babbie Mason even included Ann and I for a recording on Babbie’s House, a television program! Pray that God will open doors for us to share the mission, vision, opportunities for outreach, AND hope in Jesus!

On June 8th, I led a team leadership time focused on communication. This is a precursor to an in-depth meeting July 19-20. We are working on building trust, valuing each other’s role, and remembering that the worker is as important as the work. Continue to believe God for change, growth, and courage as we unite our hearts in the singular vision of bringing hope in Jesus to women around the world and across generations.

As I bring this update to a close, many of our team members from the TWR-Cary office, including myself, are enjoying summer vacations. Pray for renewal, fun, and meaningful time with family and friends. The Lord is reminding me afresh, “the grass withers and the flowers fade; but the Word of our Lord stands forever!” May our unity in leadership and oneness of heart provide opportunities for God’s Word to bring heart transformation to women!

With love, purpose and hope in Jesus,
